Your football journey started at a young age. What drew you to this sport, and where and how did the ball first come to your feet?
I started playing football at a very young age. Ever since I was a child, I loved being active and doing sports, and when I discovered football, chasing the ball, competing and achieving something as a team felt really enjoyable to me. Over time I realized it wasn't just a game but a sport I was truly passionate about, and that's how football became an important part of my life.
Is there a moment you remember from your early years at Konak Belediyespor?
Konak Belediyespor was one of the key starting points of my career. I learned a lot there, both as a footballer and as a person. I still remember the excitement of my early days, the moments I shared with my teammates and the effort I put in to improve myself on the pitch. That period laid an important foundation for getting to where I am today.
Throughout your career you've played both in Istanbul and in Anatolian cities like Giresun. What differences have you observed between playing women's football in a big city and in Anatolia, in terms of fan interest, facilities and the city's attitude toward women's football?
Every city's view of women's football and its interest in the game can be different. In big cities like Istanbul, there tend to be more opportunities and greater visibility for football. In Anatolian cities, even though resources can sometimes be more limited, the interest and sense of ownership people show toward the team and the players can be very genuine. What matters is creating the right conditions and making sure the support given to women's football is sustainable.
Who is your role model worldwide among players in your position?
I follow many great players in my position, especially in terms of game intelligence, fighting spirit and leadership on the pitch: Marc Cucurella.
You joined Galatasaray ahead of the new season. How did you feel when the offer came, and what influenced you most in making this decision? What does wearing the shirt of such a big club mean to you?
It was a very special and exciting moment for me. Being part of such a big club means taking an important step in my career. When making the decision, it mattered to me both to be in an environment where I could develop and to be able to reach my goals. I'm also aware of the responsibility that comes with wearing the Galatasaray shirt. In every match I play in this shirt, I want to give my very best and contribute to my team.
How did you feel when your name was announced as a winner at the Kristal Ayaklar awards? Can you share that moment and the congratulations you received afterward with us? What kind of motivation did this award give you for the new season?
Hearing my name announced as the winner was a truly proud moment for me. Seeing all the effort I had put in and the fight I had shown on the pitch rewarded with such an award made me very happy. The congratulations that followed from my family, friends, teammates and the football community also meant a great deal to me. An award like this naturally gives you extra motivation, but for me it's also a responsibility that reminds me I need to work even harder. In the new season, I want to keep improving and contributing to my team with that same motivation.
Where do you see yourself in the future? Do you have goals like playing for the national team or abroad?
I set long-term, ambitious goals for myself. First of all, I want to keep developing at my current club and perform consistently. Wearing the senior national team shirt would of course be a huge goal and a great source of pride for me. Beyond that, I also aim to play abroad in the future and gain different experiences, but right now my priority is to become a better version of myself every day and make the most of the opportunities that come my way.
Do you have a message for young girls playing football in our country?
The most important thing I want to tell them is to never give up on chasing their dreams. Women's football is growing more every day, and I believe there are wonderful opportunities ahead of us. There may be times when they struggle, face criticism or stop believing in themselves, but what matters is to keep working and keep fighting. If they truly love football, they should believe in themselves and never give up on their goals. What they dream of today could become reality tomorrow.
