Hello Ayşe. As a licensed football player, you have played for important women's football clubs such as Horozkent, Denizli Sultanlar and Soma Zafer. What experience did you gain in which of these clubs?
When I just started playing football at Horozkentspor, it was an experience for me to play in official matches. At Soma Zafer Spor, we rose from the second league to the first league and I experienced my first championship there. It was a good experience to experience my first championship at Soma Zafer Spor. In Denizli Sultanlar Sports, we became champions in the first year we joined the league with a young team, and this made me very happy, because we showed what young athletes can do and showed our strength. We believe that we will continue this.
Do you think discipline is just hard work?
In my opinion, discipline is not just about working hard. In my opinion, discipline means working hard and working consciously by focusing on your shortcomings.
What position do you play and what extra work do you do to improve yourself in this position?
I started playing football as a left winger, but as time went by, my teachers thought I would be better in midfield, so I started playing midfield and front libero, but generally I can play in any position. We are working on my deficiencies with my coaches. In extra training, I consult my coaches and do individual work based on their opinions in order to improve further.
Apart from the club, Denizli Servergazi Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Young Girls Football Team, of which you are a part, became the Champion of Türkiye by winning the tournament in which 922 teams competed in the 2022/2023 academic year. We heard that you could not participate in the World Championships to be held in Morocco because the Turkish School Sports Federation did not register with the ISF, and we were very sorry. After all this struggle, can you talk a little about the disappointment this incident caused you and your teammates?
We won the Turkish Inter-School Championship after going through many struggles, we worked hard, we worked hard and we were very proud to represent Turkey in Morocco with this result, but of course, we were very saddened by the news we received. We are very angry and sad that we were not rewarded for all our hard work. Before each match, we were more motivated, dreaming of going to Morocco, but all this fatigue and pain was in vain. Only we know how my coaches and teammates feel with this news, this sadness cannot be explained.
Can you tell us about your weekly summer work at Soma Zafer Spor?
I had the chance to play at Soma Zafer Spor for 2 years. A team with which I won the championship and had good matches. We generally do pre-season training in the summer, and we train hard, morning and evening, to prepare well for the season. We complete our summer season training with fun, disciplined and developing training.
Which countries and teams do you aim to play in?
My goal is, first of all, to play in the national team and play for that national jersey, and then, of course, my goal is not limited to playing in Turkish teams. I want to play football in good teams abroad and I am working for this. I also think that it will happen if I improve myself more in the future.
