It all starts with me having confidence in myself and believing in my abilities.

As Slovenia's Goal Machine, you became the league's top scorer four times and this season you are at the top again with 35 goals. To what do you attribute your consistent success in scoring goals?

The key to my consistency is a combination of preparation, focus and passion. I make sure to start each season in top physical condition, which gives me a solid foundation to build on. I concentrate fully during matches, especially in critical moments when I have a chance to score a goal. I also see every match as an opportunity to improve myself and I really like the challenge of scoring goals. Scoring goals is more than a job for me; This is my passion and it keeps me enthusiastic and motivated every season.

As a versatile player who can play as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder, how do you adapt your playing style depending on your position?

While I have natural instincts as a forward, adapting to different positions requires understanding the game from multiple perspectives. As a winger I focus on pace and crossing, while as an attacking midfielder I take on more of a playmaking role. Regardless of position, my priority is to find or create space to be a constant threat to the opponent's defence. I also consider the team's tactics and ensure that I contribute in a way that benefits the collective goal, even if I have to step out of my comfort zone.

You played with Olimpija for many years. How has your experience with the club shaped your personal and professional development?

Olimpija was where I really matured both as a player and as a person. The club provided an environment in which I could thrive and over the years I learned the value of discipline, hard work and patience. My athletics background has helped me approach each season with determination and preparation, ensuring I am always in top shape. Beyond football, my time at Olimpija taught me lessons about teamwork, leadership and resilience, lessons I carry with me on and off the field.

Averaging 2.5 goals per game throughout your career is extraordinary. What goes through your mind during such an efficient form?

It all starts with me having confidence in myself and believing in my abilities. Before every game I imagine myself scoring goals and helping the team be successful. In some matches, especially in leagues where you dominate the ball, there are multiple opportunities, but there are also matches where the chances are few. In those tense moments, it is necessary to stay calm and make the most of every opportunity. I always tell myself, “One chance is enough,” and thanks to this mindset, I have consistently been successful.

You signed one of the biggest contracts ever for a Slovenian player and joined Slavia Prague. What are your expectations at your new club?

Expectations are high and I fully embrace them. My goal is to contribute by scoring goals, helping my teammates and contributing to Slavia's success in the league and cup. It is an honor to join a club with such a rich history and ambition to compete at the highest level. I also want to prove myself on the European stage and I am grateful to my manager Darko Marić for guiding me to this point in my career. Together we decided that Slavia was the perfect step for my development.

As a member of the Slovenian national team, how do you balance your responsibilities between club and country and what does representing your country mean to you?

It's about balancing club and national team duties, staying focused and managing my energy. Representing Slovenia is one of the greatest honors of my life. Every time I wear the national jersey, I feel like I represent not only myself but also the dreams and aspirations of my country. My ultimate goal is to help Slovenia qualify for a major tournament and I believe we have the potential to achieve this in the coming years.

You've broken multiple records, which one is the most important to you and why?

The most important record is surpassing Mateja Zver, the all-time top scorer in the Slovenian women's league. Mateja has been an inspiration to many of us and breaking his record was a surreal moment for me. It wasn't just about numbers, it was about knowing that my hard work and dedication was making an impact on Slovenian football.

You are considered one of the best players in your country. How do you deal with the pressure that comes with such expectations?

I don't see this as pressure; I see it as motivation. Football is my passion and I approach every match with excitement and joy. Expectations from others encourage me to push harder, but at the end of the day, I just play for the love of the sport. Staying grounded and focused helps me transform outside noise into positive energy on the field.

What do you think makes the Slovenian women's football league different from other leagues in Europe?

The Slovenian league may not have as many resources as some of the big leagues, but what sets it apart is the determination and spirit of its players and clubs. Despite the financial and logistical challenges, everyone involved is passionate about developing the game. It's inspiring to see how much effort goes into developing young talent and providing growth opportunities.

How has your training developed over the years, especially as your goal-scoring ability has improved?

Over the years I have placed more emphasis on personalized training. I work closely with coaches and trainers to analyze my strengths and weaknesses and then focus on areas where I can improve. I believe in continuous improvement, whether it's improving my finishing, increasing my speed, or increasing my mental toughness. Football is evolving and I have learned to adapt and push myself beyond my limits to stay ahead.

What is your ultimate goal in football and how do you plan to achieve it in the coming years?

My ultimate goal is to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and compete at the highest level in the Champions League. To achieve this, I will continue to work hard, focus and do my best on the field. It is my responsibility as a striker to score goals, but I also want to develop as a leader and inspire the next generation of players in Slovenia.

Finally, what message would you like to send to young female football players who look up to you, especially those from countries with less developed football programs?

My message to young players is simple: Believe in yourself and never stop working hard. Even if your environment doesn't offer the best opportunities, your determination can take you far. Surround yourself with supportive people, like a mentor or coach who believes in your potential. Dreams are achievable, but they require patience, perseverance and passion. Keep going, you'll eventually succeed.
